Issue
How do I convert my document to a .pdf document?
Resolution
If you have a document such as a Word document (File extension .docx) or Excel ( File Extension .xlsx) that you need to convert to a pdf document, try the following:
Windows 10 Machines
- Open the document
- Choose to Print the document
- For the printer you are printing your document to, change it to "Microsoft Print to PDF", or look for something that says "Print to pdf", and choose that option.
- Click Print
- A Save As window will then pop up. Choose where you want this document to save on your computer, and give it a name.
- Click Save
- You should now have a copy of the document saved to your computer as a .pdf
Mac OSX
- Select the“Print” option in any application
- Ignore the list of printers at the top of the print dialog that appears. Instead, click the “PDF” menu at the bottom of the dialog and select “Save as PDF”
- A Save As window will then pop up. Choose where you want this document to save on your computer, and give it a name
- Click Save
- You should now have a copy of the document saved to your computer as a .pdf
