Facebook Social Login Temporarily Unavailable For Some Services

Issue

Anyone who has previously chosen to use their Facebook credentials to log in to U-M Canvas or some Alumni Association applications are currently unable to log in to those applications using Facebook credentials  

Resolution

We are currently experiencing an issue with Facebook login. We are actively working to resolve this issue.

Canvas

If you previously used Facebook Login with U-M Canvas, you will need to use a different method to log in until this issue is resolved.

Follow the steps below to log in to Canvas using a U-M Friend Account.

1. Click here to create a U-M Friend Account
   1. NOTE: You must use the email address that was used when you were initially added to a U-M Canvas Course 
2. After you have set a password for your U-M Friend Account, come back to this screen and click the “Log in with U-M Friend Account” link below
3. Log in using the email address and password for your U-M Friend Account

Alumni Association Login

If you previously used Facebook Login to access Alumni Association content, you will need to use a different method to log in until this issue is resolved.

 You can either

• Create a U-M Uniqname accout by clicking here or
• Select a different Social Login provider and complete the process to link that to your account.
