Issue

How do I enable an existing external app (LTI) in Canvas?

Resolution

Teachers, TAs and Designers can enable a course LTI.

1. Click Settings within in your course navigation
2. Click the Navigation tab
3. Click and drag the external app you wish to enable from the bottom list (hidden items) to the top list (enabled items), and drop it in the desired position
4. Repeat these steps to enable additional external apps, as desired
5. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save

Note: you can also click on the three vertical dots next to an item to enable (move to the enabled list) or disable (move to the disabled/hidden list).
