Error "invalid input value for units taken" When Enrolling in Classes on Wolverine Access

Issue

  • Class is added to backpack, but student cannot register
  • Error message that references "invalid input value for units taken"
  • Units listed in backpack and units listed in the error message most likely don't match

Resolution

Per University of Michigan Registrar's Office:

  • Remove the class from the backpack
  • Re-add the class to the backpack
  • Then register

Additional Information

Most likely the class was added to the student backpack, there was a delay before registering, and the school or department made a change to the class which no longer matches the settings stored in the backpack.
