Can I use a template to create a Canvas course layout? 

Resolution

You can use Canvas templates that cater to specific course types, such as lecture-based courses or discussion-based courses, or Pages and Module templates for ideas of how to design and deliver content. 

• The Canvas Course Template site (umich.instructure.com/courses/402223) is a collection of templates from academic units and programs at the University of Michigan, as well as other institutions. The collection has been curated to support faculty, units, and/or programs that seek guidance and inspiration for designing a Canvas course. These templates can be imported into courses or programmatic sites in order to repurpose the layout.
