Perceptive Content Desktop Client (Document Imaging system)
Issue
ImageNow printer not responding, PDF not printing to ImageNow printer, or print queue says Spooling. Print pop-up won't appear.
Resolution
The fix requires simply clearing the printer queue -or- a restart of the print spooler.
- Canceling the documents in the ImageNow printer queue (this does not require Administrator access on your computer)
- Go to the Start menu (usually in the lower-left corner of your computer)
- Select Search (magnifying glass) icon
- Type in Printers & Scanners and select Printers & Scanner system settings
- Select ImageNow Printer printer
- Select Open queue button
- The ImageNow Printer queue opens
- Select a document from the listing then Document > Cancel
- Repeat this step until all documents are gone
- Select 'X' in the upper-right corner of the screen to close the Printers & scanners system settings
or
- Restarting the print spooler (this does require you to be an Administrator on your computer)
If you are not an administrator on your computer, please contact your local IT staff.
- Search for Windows Administrative Tools in Windows search
- In the window that comes up, look for Services in the main panel
- Double-click Services
- In the Services List, search for Print Spooler
- Right click on Print Spooler and restart the Print Spooler
