Access Unit-Maintained Folder in BusinessObjects

Issue

Access to a Unit-Maintained folder that you think you should have access to is not working. For example, you may not be able to view the folder at all or may not be able to schedule or edit reports.  This may also apply if you need to be able to administer access to the folder.

Resolution

  • If you need access to use reports in the folder, contact the person who administers the unit's Unit-Maintained folder.
    • If you don't know who that is, contact the ITS Service Center who will escalate your request to the ITS Business Objects group.
  • If you need access to administer others' access on the folder and do not have access, you (or their unit liaison) must request the appropriate role in OARS.
    • On the OARS Request page, in the Add/Remove Roles section select Other > Business Objects DAA Admin for the list of roles.
    • The ITS Service Center can work with the BusinessObjects group to find out which role to request, if you are not sure.
