Environment
Password Auto Fill (built-in browser password managers, one-password, etc)
Issue
After setting up a biometric authentication system on your device (ex: Windows Hello, Touch ID, Face ID, Android Screen lock), password auto-fill starts prompts for biometric authentication before filling usernames and/or passwords.
Resolution
Password auto fill systems often work with a device's biometric authentication system to verify it's you before auto-filling your account credentials.
If you would like to adjust this setting, we suggest following documentation based on the password manager you are using. We have included links to some common password managers below:
Additional Information
You may have set up a biometric authentication system on your device to use Okta FastPass. This can cause your computer to start using biometric authentication when logging in to the device, auto filling passwords, etc. This is not caused by Okta, but by the computer and browser settings you have enabled.
