Issue

How do I transfer ownership of my Team Folder?

Resolution

There are two options for transferring ownership of Team Folders you manage:

• Change the MCommunity group associated with the Team Folder to a new group, OR
• Add additional owners to the Team Folder's current associated MCommunity group

The new owner(s) should have access to the Team Folder within 24 hours. If you'd like to be removed as an owner of the Team Folder, you can remove yourself as an owner and member of the associated MCommunity group.

Note: You cannot add or remove owners directly in U-M Dropbox.

Additional Information

When a Team Folder loses all eligible owners in its associated MCommunity group, it is deactivated and scheduled for deletion 90 days after it loses eligibility. Ensure you work with your department before leaving the university to ensure all ownership is transferred.
