ITS-Digital Signage Setting Up Content Manager Desktop Connection on New Server

Issue

When launching Content Manager Desktop for the first time on the new server, users  are prompted to set up their connection

Resolution

To set up your connection in Content Manager Desktop on the new server, follow these steps:

  1. Launch Content Manager Desktop
  2. On the initial screen, click New
  3. Select Hosted Connection from the drop-down menu
  4. Copy and paste the following URL into the Content Manager Web Services URL field:
    https://dsw-cmweb.adsroot.itcs.umich.edu/cmweb/?client=umich
  5. umich will automatically appear in the Remote Connection Name field
  6. Click OK
  7. Click the + symbol next to the line containing the URL from above
  8. Click to highlight the line that says UniversityofMichiganDigitalSignage
  9. Click Open
  10. Wait approximately 30 seconds for Content Manager Desktop to open
