Okta: Troubleshooting Issues with Apple Touch ID

Environment

iOS device with Okta Verify loaded

Issue

You have been using Touch ID with Okta Verify successfully, but after some system updates, Touch ID is no longer available.

Resolution

  1. Set up Touch ID on your device again.
  2. Quit and reopen the Okta Verify app on your device.

If you see the error message below on your device, quit and reopen the Okta Verify app again.

"Touch ID or password settings are out of sync with Okta Verify. Your Touch ID or password settings have changed. Your account may not work properly until you update your settings with Okta Verify."
