Discussion Checkpoints Not Available in Canvas

Issue

I am unable to add checkpoints to my Canvas discussion and want to understand why this feature is not available.

Resolution

Checkpoints may not be available for your Canvas discussion due to the following reasons:

  1. The discussion must be a graded discussion. Checkpoints cannot be added to ungraded discussions.
  2. The discussions checkpoints feature may not be enabled for the subaccount that your course belongs to.
    1. You will need to contact your subaccount administrator to verify and enable this feature.
