Issue
The system displays an error when trying to capture and save a document in the Document Imaging: A Data Encoding Error has occurred. (91HGE2:LKGMW9)
Resolution
To resolve this issue, check for special characters in the filename of the file you are trying to save. Rename the file and try to capture it again. If the error persists, look for special characters in the Doc keys fields 1-5.
Additional Information
A Data Encoding Error usually happens when there are special characters that the database cannot process. If the database cannot recognize these characters, it will generate an error and fail to create the document because the document keys are invalid.
Special characters are non-alphanumeric symbols such as punctuation marks, symbols, and accented letters used in writing for meaning, emphasis, or clarity. Examples include:
! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) _ + - = { } ; : ' " , . / \ | and accented letters like é or ü
