Grackle Docs Features Don't Change Google Doc or Don't Persist on File Copy

Grackle Docs with Google

Issue

Grackle has some features the directly alter the Google Doc, and some that save information locally for use only on export using the built-in Grackle export to PDF feature.

Features that do not directly alter the Google Doc will not transfer when you make a copy of the Google Doc. 

Resolution

If you are not using Grackle to export your Google Doc to PDF, you can ignore the settings only for that purpose.

Review the areas below to understand the Grackle features that are only for export to PDF, and do not directly alter the Google Doc.

  • Tables
    • Table header definitions and complex structure do not directly alter the Google Doc
    • Marking tables as layout tables does not directly alter the Google Doc
  • Images marked as artifact
    • Marking images as artifact does not directly alter the Google Doc
