Issue

How do I use the ImageNow Printer in color?

Resolution

Note: You need administrator rights on your computer in order to make the changes listed below. For most people, this means getting help from MiWorkspace support staff or your local unit IT staff.

  1. Close Perceptive Content.
  2. Locate the application called Notepad on the computer.
  3. Right-click on Notepad and select Run as administrator.
  4. Click Yes when prompted to run as administrator.
  5. Select the File menu item and choose Open from the drop-down.
  6. Navigate to this location: C:\Program Files (x86)\ImageNow\etc
At the bottom of the window, in the box to the right of the File name, select "All Files (*.*)" from the drop-down list.
Double-click on the only file in the folder which is called inowprint.ini
  7. Make the following two changes to the file:
    • In the top section called "Graphics settings", remove the * which appears immediately before [Devmode settings]
    • Further down in the file, in the section called "Save settings", change where it says Color reduction=BW to Color reduction=color
  8. Save the changes and close the file.
  9. Launch Perceptive Content and use the ImageNow printer to print in color.

Additional Information

The application you are printing from (Chrome, Adobe Reader, etc) should also be set to print in color.
