"Page data is inconsistent with database" Error When Submitting Note in Remote Work Agreement

Issue

An error occurs when clicking Done after supplying a Note in the Remote Work Agreement which says "page data is inconsistent with database". Supplying a Note is required, so the error prevents the RWA from being successfully submitted.

Resolution

**Update 11/18/2024** This issue has been resolved and should work correctly in the system. 

 

The error is due to an Oracle issue with the Note page. The responsible team is working with the vendor on a permanent fix, but here is the suggested work-around:

  1. On the Attachments page, click the Add Note button. 
  2. Enter a Description (i.e., Work Schedule).
  3. Enter the applicable information in the Note Text field. 
    • Copy the text entered in the Note Text field. You may need the information again if you receive the "Page data is inconsistent with database" error.
  4. Click Done. 
  5. If you receive the "Page data is inconsistent with database" error, click OK.
    • If you do not receive the error, continue to the next page/step. You do not need to follow the steps below. 
  6. Click the Exit button in the upper left of the Remote Work Agreement page.
  7. Click No, when it asks if you want to save changes. 
  8. Your request is now saved in Draft Status. 
  9. Click the Edit/View button (far right arrow) in the Draft Status row. 
  10. The Attachments page displays. Repeat Steps 2-5. 

IMPORTANT: You may need to repeat the above steps multiple times, but you will eventually be able to get through.
