Accessing eRAM for the first time

Resolution

Create your account

Before you can log in to eRAM for the first time, an existing Principal Investigator (PI) needs to create your account:

• The PI can set this up using these instructions: Quick Reference Card for PI/Lab Personnel.pdf
• If the PI is not able to create the account, it may be because the account was registered at some point but was inactivated by Animal Care & Use Office (ACUO).
  • Contact the ITS Service Center (https://its.umich.edu/help) to escalate an incident to the eRAM team to activate the account in these cases

Create your own Protocol

• If you need to create your own Protocol, you will need to contact the Animal Care and Use Office to become a PI.
  • You can visit https://animalcare.umich.edu/facilities-systems-access/eram and complete the form titled eRAM Principal Investigator Authorization Request Form.
  • They can be reached directly at acuoffice@umich.edu or 734-763-8028.
  • Once the account is created, eRAM can be accessed at https://eram.umich.edu.

eRAM login

• eRAM login uses your uniqname and UMICH password.
