Bentley (Microstation)
Issue
Beginning December 1, 2023, users will no longer be able to download Bentley (Microstation) applications via their unique school code.
Resolution
To continue full access to Bentley applications, users need to migrate to the Bentley Education Portal (https://education.bentley.com). The Bentley Education program gives no-cost learning licenses of Bentley infrastructure engineering applications and self-paced learning resources through the new Bentley Education portal.
- To get started, users first should sign up on the Education Portal.
- Create and update your profile to confirm your eligibility.
- Bentley has provided a step-by-step guide to register download, install, and activate the Bentley applications from the Bentley Education Portal.
- While signing up, you should use your <uniqname@umich.edu> email address.
- If using a personal email address, you can validate eligibility by uploading your U-M ID card.
