Marketsite+, Marketsite+ Browse Only
Issue
Trying to access a supplier catalog via Marketsite (Staples, for example) but getting a page with the following error message: "Your session is terminated. Please close your browser and log back-in to continue your shopping experience." Logging out, restarting the computer, and clearing cache and cookies doesn't resolve the issue.
Resolution
This error occurs when cookies are being blocked on the browser. To resolve the issue, allow cookies on your browser.
Google Chrome:
- Click the three vertical dots in the top-right corner of the browser.
- Click Settings.
- On the left-hand side, click Privacy and Security.
- Click Third-party cookies.
- Select Allow third-party cookies.
Microsoft Edge:
- Click the three horizontal dots in the top-right corner of the browser.
- Click Settings.
- On the left-hand side, click Privacy, search, and services.
- Click Cookies.
- The Block third-party cookies setting must be toggled off (slider set to the left).
Firefox:
The default, standard cookie settings in Firefox are more strict. To resolve the error, add the Marketsite website address as an exception in Firefox.
- Click the three horizontal lines in the top-right corner of the browser.
- Click Settings.
- On the left-hand side, click on Privacy & Security.
- Next to the Enhanced Tracking Protection section at the top, click Manage Exceptions.
- Copy-paste the following Marketsite addresses (one at a time), then click Add Exception
- Marketsite+ (Browse Only): https://solutions.sciquest.com/
- Marketsite+: https://finprod.dsc.umich.edu/
- Click Save Changes.
