Deque axe Monitor
Issue
How do I use Deque axe Monitor to check accessibility?
Resolution
axe Monitor is a web based tool that you can use to scan informational web systems and get a baseline report on your systems’ accessibility. The scans look for violations or possible violations of the standard adopted by the University of Michigan. The scan also produces higher level reports as well as progress charts that are useful for administrators, who can get an overview of a given website or all the web sites in the unit.
axe Monitor can be accessed at: https://umich-axemonitor.dequecloud.com/worldspace/user/home
Users need an account to log in. If you do not have one, use the Accessibility TDx form to request an account. Please let us know:
- what the intended purpose is
- what URLs will be involved
- what group (unit, department) you will be representing
- what your training needs might be
- information for the account: first name, last name, email (for each of the participants)
Additional Information
If the site has a firewall that does not allow for 3rd party scans, you will need to add the IP address of axe Monitor to your Allow list: 52.206.17.83
You are also welcome to use the Accessibility TDx form to ask for more information related to accessibility.
