Issue
How can I restrict access to data within a Google Sheets spreadsheet that's already shared with one or more individuals?
Resolution
A range of data and an entire sheet within a Google spreadsheet can be protected against editing or viewing by individuals who have access to the spreadsheet. Instructions on how add, modify, and remove protections within a Google spreadsheet can be found here.
The owner of a Google spreadsheet has full control over the sheet & range protections in place, regardless of who added them.
Note: You cannot protect a range or sheet using the Google Sheets mobile app for Android and iOS. This can only be done using a computer.
