Why don't I see any applications when I click "Activities" in the Linux CLSE?

This can happen when you are not logged into the "Classic" login option and have not selected any favorite apps.

You can search for the applications you want in the search bar, or also by pressing:

Windows key + a

and then click All to see all applications.

If you wish to change to the other login option, follow these steps:

  • Enter your uniqname on the login screen.
  • Select the gear icon underneath the password prompt (Next to the Sign In button).
  • Select the Classic login option.
  • Enter your password and continue as you normally would, and you'll now see "Applications" in the top left of the screen.
