How do I copy or move a lecture recording from one site to another?

To copy a recording from one Lecture Recording site you manage to another, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the CAEN Lecture Recording Management website (https://leccap.engin.umich.edu/leccap/manage/site).
  2. Select the Manage Recordings option associated with the course you want to copy the recording FROM.
  3. Locate the recording to be copied, then click on the corresponding Copy/Move button. A pop-up window will appear prompting you to begin typing  the name of the site to copy the recording to.
  4. Select the name of the destination Lecture Recording site (and rename the recording's title if desired).
  5. Check Apply existing trim and edits if you would like to keep any edits made to the original video in the copy.
  6. Click the Copy button (Please allow at least 20 minutes for the recording to copy before letting your students know it is available).

Note: Only the owner (or anyone who has manager permissions) will be able to complete this task. If the Lecture Recording team is asked to copy a recording from a site that you do not have access to, approval will be requested from the owner of the recording.
