How do I upload a lecture recording?

If you have a recorded lecture on your device, it can be uploaded to your Lecture Recording site in order for students to see all class recordings in one location.

Contact your organization’s support team to enable upload capability, then follow these steps:

  1. Log into CAEN's Lecture Recording Management website (https://leccap.engin.umich.edu/leccap/manage/).
  2. Click the Manage recordings link for the course you would like to upload to.
  3. Click the Upload navigation tab.
  4. Enter a Recording Title.
  5. Choose a date/time to display as the timestamp for this video.
  6. Drag your video into the area that says Drag ‘n’ drop… or click that area and select the file from your computer.
  7. If you have a video of your slides (it must be identical in length), click the + Add a slides track (optional) button.
  8. Drag your slides video onto the area that says Drag ‘n’ drop… or click that area and select the file from your computer.
  9. Click Upload.

Important: Do not close the browser window until the progress bar reaches the end. Uploaded videos could take up to two hours before they can be edited in our system.
