- Make sure Bluetooth is turned on
- If Bluetooth is already on try turning it off and on again
- Put the host device to sleep and wake it again
- Restart host device
- Restart Cynap
- When trying to connect after putting in the four digit PIN an error message comes up saying "could not connect to device"

- Restart Cynap
- When trying to connect after putting in the four digit PIN the host device connects but nothing is displayed on the Cynap Screen
- Check that the device was logged into MWireless with a uniqname account. If logged into MWireless with a uniqname account the IP address will start with 35. but if signed in with a non-uniqname account the IP will start with 67. and will not be able to connect with the Cynap until the host device is signed in with a uniqname account. To find the MWireless IP address do the following:
- For iPhone/iPad go to Settings/WiFi, then tap on the i next to the network name (MWireless).
- For Mac computers Click on the Apple icon on the upper-left corner of the screen. Scroll down and select System Preferences. Click Network. (This should be on the third row). Select the Wi-Fi and the IP address should be listed under Status on the right side of the window.
- For Windows computers Select Start > Settings > Network & internet > Wi-Fi and then select the Wi-Fi network you're connected to. Under Properties, look for your IP address listed next to IPv4 address.
- For Android depending on your version Go to Settings >> Wireless & networks/WLAN, or Settings >> Network & Internet >> Wi-Fi. Tap on the Wi-Fi you are connected to (MWireless), then it will show the network info including signal strength, security, MAC address and IP address
- If you are connecting with a newer Mac laptop or iPhone check with Instructional Computing staff to make sure that AirPlay 4K mode is disabled on the Cynap
- Restart the host device
- Restart the Cynap
