Accessing MathWorks online training for MATLAB

Summary

How to get access to the MathWorks online training for MATLAB.

Environment 

  • MATLAB
  • Faculty, staff, researchers, and students

Directions

  1. Navigate to the University of Michigan online training portal.
  2. Scroll down to the "For Students" block under Additional resources and click on that option.
  3. Click the "Learn" top menu bar, and select "Self-Paced Online Courses".
  4. Select the course you want to take, and click on "Take course".
  5. Login with your University of Michigan account credentials if prompted.
  6. Click the "Confirm" button on the information release page. Make sure to select the longer release consent duration option if you do not want this page to appear every time you access the training.
  7. Login with your MathWorks account credentials. If you don't have a MathWorks account, create one using your University of Michigan email address.
  8. Select a course to begin or continue working on.
  9. Re-enter your MathWorks account information if prompted. The second prompt should only come up the first time you launch a course after logging in.

The overview page for the selected course should now be loaded.

The courses list should include the free Onramp courses as well as the paid Core MATLAB, Data Science, and Computational Mathematics courses.
