Outline of the approval process for posting faculty position advertisements.
Environment

Directions
Faculty regular position
- Go to the Faculty Life Cycle Portal.
- On the top menu, select Academic Affairs and then select Existing Position Management Advertisement.
- Select the the home department and fiscal year for the approved position you would like to create an advertisement for.
- Click on the Action button next to the position and select Advertisement.
- Review the Advertisement requirements and then select Create New Request.
- In the box, next to Identify advertisement venue(s), please type where you will be posting this advertisement.
- In the box next to Job Description, please type the advertisement you would like to post.
- Please select Submit for approval.
- Academic Affairs will review the Advertisement Posting submission within 1 business days, you will received an email confirmation when the posting is approved.
Faculty person-specific position
Please note: Before creating person specific posts, the department should have already have had a conversation with their Associate Dean regarding the search for a specific person..
- Go to the Faculty Life Cycle Portal.
- On the top menu, select Academic Affairs and then select Existing Position Management Advertisement.
- Select the the home department and fiscal year for the approved position you would like to create an advertisement for..
- Click on the Action button next to the position and select Waiver of Posting Request to add support documentation from HR that the position does not need to be posted
- In the popup window for Request for waiver of posting for Position Nbr. xx-xxx, either choose file to attach with the support documentation from HR that the position does not need to be posted or click Add Waiver of Posting Text and then copy/ paste from the email approval.
