Outline of the approval process for posting faculty position advertisements.

Directions

Faculty regular position

  1. Go to the Faculty Life Cycle Portal.
  2. On the top menu, select Academic Affairs and then select Existing Position Management Advertisement.
  3. Select the the home department and fiscal year for the approved position you would like to create an advertisement for.
  4. Click on the Action button next to the position and select Advertisement.
  5. Review the Advertisement requirements and then select Create New Request.
  6. In the box, next to Identify advertisement venue(s), please type where you will be posting this advertisement.
  7. In the box next to Job Description, please type the advertisement you would like to post.
  8. Please select Submit for approval.
  9. Academic Affairs will review the Advertisement Posting submission within 1 business days, you will received an email confirmation when the posting is approved.

Faculty person-specific position

Please note: Before creating person specific posts, the department should have already have had a conversation with their Associate Dean regarding the search for a specific person.. 

  1. Go to the Faculty Life Cycle Portal.
  2. On the top menu, select Academic Affairs and then select Existing Position Management Advertisement.
  3. Select the the home department and fiscal year for the approved position you would like to create an advertisement for..
  4. Click on the Action button next to the position and select Waiver of Posting Request to add support documentation from HR that the position does not need to be posted
  5. In the popup window for Request for waiver of posting for Position Nbr. xx-xxx, either choose file to attach with the support documentation from HR that the position does not need to be posted or click Add Waiver of Posting Text and then copy/ paste from the email approval.
