Resources
Resources are available for a variety of projects and levels of analysis. If you need to use restricted or data that needs a secure machine or room please email LSATechnologyServices@umich.edu.
- Data Storage:
- Software — The software landscape can be confusing - if you have any questions, please email LSATechnologyServices@umich.edu.
- Computing
Basic Statistical Analysis — Use the Econometrics Lab in 361 Lorch (16 Windows machines and 5 Macs). On those machines, the GMM Toolbox functions are located in C:\gmmtbx. Change your working directory in Matlab to this path to use the functions.
- The above has changed due to planned renovations of Lorch Hall. Updated information will be posted once we have it. Please contact the Econ business office for help in the interim. econ.assist@umich.edu
- Moderate Statistical Analysis — Xerxes Server, includes Haver Analytics and other software (MatLab, SPSS, Stata/SE)
- Advanced Statistical Analysis — Great Lakes is the University cluster. LSA faculty, staff, and collaborators can use Great Lakes at no charge (certain limitations do apply). LSA Technology Services provides assistance to get started on Great Lakes; simply send us an email to get started.
