Magma for HPC on Great Lakes

Summary

Magma is provided under a free license grant from the Simons Foundation and is distributed by the University of Sydney. This article provides the necessary steps to use Magma on the Great Lakes cluster, and who to contact when the software is no longer needed to be removed from the list.

Directions 

Please follow the below directions to be an approved user for the licensed software Magma on Great Lakes. 

To be added to the user list:

  1. Fill out the form to be a listed user for the Simons Foundation. Here's the link to the HPC Google Form.  
  2. Send an email to arc-support@umich.edu and request to be added to the Linux group for Magma on Great Lakes cluster. 

To be removed from the list if you are no longer accessing the software or leaving the University of Michigan:

  1. Please send an email to arc-support@umich.edu and let them know that you no longer need access to the software.
  2. In addition if you are leaving the University, please let us know your final day. 

Notes

If you are looking to use this software on your personally-owned device, you will need to fill out the Google Form provided on the University of Michigan's Software Directory.
