Explanation

The 1100 North University Avenue Building (AKA 1100 North University Ave. Building or 1100 North University Building) is the building at 1100 North University Avenue on the UM-Ann Arbor central campus formerly known as the Clarence Cook Little Building (CCL, CC Little, C. C. Little, etc.). The Board of Regents voted to rescind and remove the name in March 2018 based on a request from three professors and a student from LSA. Little's 1920s campaign for eugenic measures — while he was university president — called for immigration restriction, anti-miscegenation laws, and the sterilization of the "unfit." In his presentation to the regents, President Schlissel said, "Little ignored scientific principles to the harm of millions of people, so I support the request to remove his name from a building we use to teach science at the University of Michigan."
