How do I leave a specific U-M Slack workspace?

Resolution

You can leave individual workspaces via the U-M Slack Workspace Directory. This can't be done via the desktop or mobile apps.

  1. Go to the U-M Slack Workspace Directory (and sign in to U-M Slack if prompted).
  2. Find the workspace you want to leave from the list and click on it. (Don't click Launch in Slack, only click on the name.)
  3. Click Leave this workspace at the bottom of the workspace information.
Important: You cannot leave workspaces that are managed by MCommunity groups or Canvas courses. If you would like to leave a specific workspace and don't have the ability to do so from the Workspace Directory, you should reach out to the admins of that workspace.
