Adobe Stock: Purchasing Images & No-Cost Assets

Environment

Adobe Stock through U-M

Issue

U-M has an agreement with Adobe Stock.  Individuals may want to know how to use the assets connected to that service.

Resolution

  • U-M affiliates can sign in to stock.adobe.com and freely use any of the "assets" (images, videos) already purchased by others at the university
    • Sign in with your U-M email address
    • Select the "Company or School Account" option
    • Log in to weblogin if prompted (it may just take you in, if you are already authenticated)
    • In the top right drop-down menu, select "License History" to see assets available from previous unit purchases
  • Individuals who want to purchase new images must set up a relationship with ITS Software Services, a shortcode is required
    • Some schools & colleges have an agreement in place
      • Individuals can align themselves with one of those groups (School of Art, Michigan Creative, etc)
    • ITS Software Services will work with official student groups (designated and registered as a group with Student Life)

Note: Adobe has granted royalty-free access to some of their collections. See details on the ITS Software Services webpage for Adobe Stock

Additional Information

  • For new groups:
    • The current minimum annual agreement is a $150.00 commitment, and can be multi-year, depending when you buy in to the agreement
    • Purchase images/credits at a discounted price through the ITS Software Store
    • The actual start date for purchasing will depend on Software Services current business cycle
