Issue

  • Can I create videos using Google Vids with my U-M Google account?
  • Can I collaborate on (view, comment, and edit) Google Vids I'm shared on with my U-M Google account?

Resolution

Google Vids is an AI-powered video creation app that lets you create, write, produce, edit, collaborate, and share your videos.

U-M Google Workspace accounts do not have access to create, view, comment, or edit videos using the Google Vids service. This includes Vids shared with you from other (non-UM) Google accounts. ITS will be sure to communicate if this access changes.
