Adobe Firefly is a family of Generative AI models accessible from the web and integrated into Adobe Creative Cloud applications (including Express and Photoshop). Firefly is all about image generation; write prompts to create new imagery.

Eligibility for the University of Michigan's Adobe Creative Cloud License
Adobe Creative Cloud is available for free to all active students, faculty, and regular full- and part-time staff on the Ann Arbor, Dearborn, Flint and Michigan Medicine campuses. For more details see Who is eligible to use Creative Cloud?

Firefly Access and Login
- Firefly is a webapp (no software installation necessary) at https://firefly.adobe.com/
- Click the "Sign In" button in the upper right
- Select “Continue with Google” from the options
- Enter your Umich email address (non-med email address)
- Login to Weblogin and Duo
Knowledge and Support
Adobe Generative Credits
- Generative credits enable the use of the Generative AI features in Firefly.
- "Text to image" and "Generative fill" use one credit each time you click “Generate”.
- Check your individual credits by clicking the icon in the upper right of Firefly.
- Credits reset every month.
- If you use up all your credits, Adobe will slow down the creation of your images until your credits renew.
