How to navigate your printing account.

Resolution

Everyone who uses MPrint has access to a couple of tools to view and manage your personal MPrint account:

This article will walk you through using the Accounting and Transactions page. From this page, you can do the following:

  • View your print and transaction history.
  • View your environmental impact.
  • Request a refund.
  • Release or cancel a pending Follow Me print job.

Log in to your Accounting and Transactions Page

  1. Navigate to the following link: https://accounts.miprint.it.umich.edu
  2. Follow the Okta prompts to complete the Log In process

Summary Page

View your available balance, total print jobs, and total pages printed. A positive balance indicates that you have a positive print allocation and are free to use it on black/white, color, and poster printing.

You can also view your balance history and environmental impact from the summary page.

Shared Accounts

Click on the Shared Accounts tab to view accounts associated to you. A shared account is an unrestricted account that is tied to a departmental shortcode. Learn more about creating/managing Shortcode accounts with MPrint.

Note: You will not see this tab if you do not have any shared accounts associated to you.

Transaction History

Click on the Transaction History tab to see a detailed breakdown of transactions debited or credited to your printing account. Use the filter to change the date/time period shown. 

Recent Print Jobs

Click on the Recent Print Jobs tab to view print jobs you have submitted. Use the filter to change the date/time period shown. Within this view, you will be able to request a refund for Campus Computing Sites print jobs that did not print as you expected.

Refund Request

In the Recent Print Jobs pane, locate the print job you would like to request a refund for. Under the Status column, click request refund.

Refund Request - Job Details

The Refund Request - Job Details pane will display pertinent information about the print job in which you are requesting a refund.

Refund Request - Refund Details

The Refund Request - Refund Details pane asks for the refund amount and the reason for the refund. Select Full amount or Partial amount. Be sure to specify a dollar amount if requesting a partial refund. Detail the reason for requesting a refund in the Reason for Request section. Click send once complete.

You must follow the guidelines laid out in the Campus Computing Sites Refund Policy or risk having your refund request denied.

Jobs Pending Release

Click on the Jobs Pending Release tab to cancel or release print jobs you have sent to the Follow Me print queue. To release or cancel individual jobs, click print or cancel under the Action column. 

Note: You can also release Follow Me jobs by swiping your Mcard on a printer equipped with a card reader, by using the MPrint Mobile app, or by visiting the MPrint Release page

This form is to request assistance with Printing at Campus Computing locations (also known as Sites) across campus via MPrint. Sites locations offer black and white, color, tabloid, or poster printers. Everyone is welcome to print at Campus Computing locations, though printing allocations vary. Most Campus Computing Sites provide black and white laser printing, and several provide color or large format printing. Use this request for support of these printers.

This service enables printing from university-owned and personally-owned devices to a broad spectrum of university-owned network printers.
This service is available to faculty, staff, and students who work for university units that subscribe to the MiWorkspace service or to the MPrint printing service.
