Google: Find a Calendar ID

Environment

U-M Google, Calendar

Issue

How do I find the Calendar ID for my Google Calendar?

Resolution

  1. Go to U-M Google Calendar in a web browser.
  2. Hover over the applicable calendar in the left navigation sidebar (under "My calendars" or "Other calendars") and click the three-dots icon.
    • Note: If you cannot find it in your sidebar list, you may have hidden it. You can find all your calendars in your Google Calendar settings.
  3. Select Sharing (or Settings and sharing).
  4. Scroll to the "Integrate calendar" section and view the Calendar ID listed there.

Additional Information

The Calendar ID typically looks like an email address. You can tell the difference between secondary and resource calendars based on the domain at the end:

  • If the ID ends in @group.calendar.google.com, it is a secondary calendar.
  • If the ID ends in @resource.calendar.google.com, it is a resource calendar.
