Is the Zoom Canvas feature available in U-M Zoom? (Formerly known as Zoom Docs)
Resolution
No, the Zoom Canvas (formerly Docs) feature is not available in U-M Zoom. This includes the ability to view/edit Zoom collaborative documents shared from external institutions/organizations.
You will notice the Canvas tab in your Zoom account settings with limited settings, but you cannot access the feature through your U-M Zoom account.
Note: This feature is not the same as the Zoom for Canvas LTI and has no relation to the Canvas LMS.
Additional Information
- Zoom mentions that Canvas is integrated with Zoom AI. However, this does not mean it is a part of the feature set that makes up Zoom AI. They are separate features.
- If an external Zoom document is shared with you, you must be logged out of U-M Zoom to view it. Logging in to your U-M Zoom account will prevent you from viewing it.
