Issue

Can I recover a label in Gmail after removing/deleting it?

Resolution

  • Once you remove a label in Gmail, it deletes the label and removes it from the emails it was applied to. This action cannot be undone, and there is no way to recover a label after it's been deleted. 
  • The emails that the label was applied to are not deleted. If no other labels were applied to those emails, then they will be available under "All Mail."
