How to export a filtered list to CSV/Excel

This article describes how to export a filtered list from SharePoint to CSV or Excel.

 

Steps

Exporting filtered list to Excel

  1. Apply all the desired filters to the list. To see how to filter lists, see this article.
  2. Save the filtered list as a view. To do this, click on the dropdown labelled 'All Items'. From this dropdown, select 'Save view as'. You will then be prompted to give it a name. Uncheck the 'Make this view public' box, and save the view.

  3. Once the view is saved, click on 'Export to CSV' to download an excel file for the filtered list.
