Eligibility for a U-M Adobe Creative Cloud Account

Environment

Ann Arbor, Dearborn, Flint and Michigan Medicine campuses.

Issue

Am I eligible for a U-M Adobe Creative Cloud Account?  Who has access to the U-M Adobe Creative Cloud license?

Resolution

If you have at least one of the following affiliations, you are automatically eligible for an Adobe Creative Cloud account under the U-M license for as long as you hold that affiliation:

  • Students (from matriculation to either graduation or end of student status)
  • Faculty (including emeritus faculty still doing work, lecturers, and intermittent lecturers)
  • Staff (including regular full- and part-time)
Note: You cannot access Adobe Creative Cloud U-M licensing until 24 hours after your uniqname was created or your new UM affiliations are loaded

The following affiliations are not automatically eligible for a Adobe Creative Cloud account under the U-M license, but can request an exception from ITS Software Services (the exception form can be filled out by the employee or by their supervisor). Please note, requesting access to this service (Adobe) should only be done when the access is needed for U-M business, such as completing work for a U-M department.

  • Affiliates with the HR role of "Trades"
  • Temporary Staff
  • Sponsored affiliates

If you only have one (or more) of the following affiliations, please contact the department you're working with about setting up a sponsorship. Please note, requesting access to this service (Adobe) should only be done when the access is needed for U-M business, such as completing work for a U-M department.

  • Alumni
  • Retirees
  • Friend accounts (guest accounts)

After being sponsored, please complete the exception request form linked above.

Note: ITS Software Services staff review and approve exceptions on a case by case basis. Please allow one to two business days for the request to be reviewed.
Exceptions are valid for a single academic year. (After the end of summer term, and before the start of fall term, the exceptions will expire).

Additionally, MCommunity groups and shared accounts are not eligible to access Adobe Creative Account under the license.
