Google Chat is a communication service developed by Google. Google Chat allows U-M students, faculty, and staff to connect and collaborate via text chat. With Google Chat you can join active group discussions from any computer or mobile device.

This article is intended for current students, faculty staff, alumni, and anyone who would like to know more about using Google Chat for Group Chats and communication.
Requirements
For the best experience, you will need a computing device, and Internet connection. Access to Google Chat is included with every individuals U-M Google Account.
Features
Google Chat has plenty of features revolving around direct messaging and group wide texting to collaborate on any project. Below are just some of the features that chat allows.
