What is ITAM?

This article is intended for the faculty and staff of departments wishing to participate or be informed about the ITAM software sharing service.

Requirements

The cost to participate in the ITAM software sharing service is based on the number of full-time employees in your department.

Benefits and Details

Umich IT Asset Management (UmichITAM) is a software sharing consortium for university departments that choose to opt-in. Revenue that is collected goes to fund a volume licensed software catalog and the staff who support the service.

  • There are currently more than 300 different types of software offered on the ITAM software sharing service.
  • Departments are billed based on the number of full-time employees.
  • By purchasing bulk licenses, ITAM can pass savings on to the users.

    • Note: You will need to log in with your uniqname and current password, same as for Wolverine Access.

How to Participate

If your department is interested in joining ITAM, please contact the ITS Helpdesk to submit a request for a quote and provide details about your department and number of full-time employees. Contact information is in the Troubleshooting section below.
