For submitting reference and troubleshooting requests to the Ask a Librarian Email Reference Service.

The Ask a Librarian service is not able to conduct extensive research on your behalf or compile and deliver multiple resources.

However, we can help you:
• learn how to navigate our collections and systems
• develop research strategies
• develop and scope research questions/topics
• evaluate resources
• troubleshoot electronic resource problems
• answer questions about library policies
• connect to additional resources and support

This form will collect information on any accessibility issue in the library, and upon receipt, our staff can route your concern or request to the relevant unit within the Library. If you have a qualifying disability that prevents you from reading or using print materials, we will work to get an accessible, electronic copy of any item you wish to use from the library. This includes access to electronic scans of any items in HathiTrust.

The Accessibility Remediation Program (ARP) is a team of undergraduate and graduate students specially trained to remediate digital Library content. This service is available to Library Staff and Faculty and their units, and the team performs both pro-active and reactive remediation. If you are unsure whether your project is appropriate for the ARP team, please email arp-mgmnt@umich.edu
