Tagged Prospects by MGO or Site Rollup

​​​​​What does it do?

This report is designed to pull all constituents where the comments contain a specified Prospect Tag, Interaction Status, Starting Interaction Date, and Starting Ask Date. Users have the option to restrict results based on ---

  • MGO Uniqname
  • Affiliation Constructed Site Rollup
  • Starting Fiscal Year
  • Giving Information (i.e. VP Area Rollup, Campus Rollup, MPathways DeptID, Site Name, or Designation LookupID)
  • Unit Campaign Name
  • Communication Preference

Why use this report?

Use this report if you need to:

  1. See all the Prospects an MGO has tagged 

  2. See all the Prospects that have been tagged to a specific MGO

E.g. Find all Prospects with a prospect tag containing the uniqname of a specific MGO (e.g. %bkegler%)

Click the highlighted icon to bring up the user prompts.

If the report is taking too long to run, schedule the report (see above).

Prompts

You then need to set the prompts. (Prompts act as questions that help you to customize the information in a report to suit your own needs!)

Below are the available prompts (with explanation) —

  • Enter MGO Uniqname Pattern (Optional)

    • Allows users to enter an MGO Uniqname

    • Uniqnames must be surrounded by wildcards (%) and entered in lowercase

    • E.g., %touqan%
       

  • Select Affiliation Constructed Site Rollup (Optional)

    • Allows users to select one or more Affiliation Constructed Site Rollups for inclusion

    • E.g., Alumni Association
       

  • Select Prospect Tags (Required)

    • Allows users to select one or more Prospect Tags (aka. Constituent Affiliation Names) for inclusion

    • E.g., Constituent of Interest
       

  • Enter Starting Ask Date (Required)

    • Allows users to enter a minimum date for all asks included in the report

    • NOTE: Business Objects does not prevent you from entering an invalid date (ex. 1/1/0221), so double check the dates you enter. Alternatively, you may use the calendar icon to the right of the input field to select a date rather than typing one in manually

    • E.g., 1/1/2021 or 01/01/2021

Giving Information (Optional)

Answer one or more of the following prompts to be displayed. You may select as many of these levels as you wish.

  • For Section 1 - Select SCU Rollup (Optional)

    • Allows users to restrict report to a specific School, College, or Unit (SCU) Rollup

    • E.g., School of Information
       

      • OR Select VP Area Rollup (Optional)

        • Allows users to restrict report a specific VP Area

        • E.g., Office of the President, VP for Development
           

      • OR Enter Campus Rollup (Optional)

        • Allows users to restrict report to a specific Campus Rollup

        • E.g., Univ of Michigan-Ann-Arbor, Univ of Michigan-Dearborn
           

      • OR MPathways DeptID (Optional)

        • Allows users to restrict report to a specific MPathways DeptID
           

      • OR Enter Site Name (Optional)

        • Allows users to restrict report to a specific Site.

        • E.g., School of Information
           

      • OR Enter Designation LookupID (Optional)

        • Allows users to restrict report to a specific Designation LookupID (aka Shortcode)
           

  • Enter Starting Fiscal Year (Optional)

    • Allows users to enter a starting fiscal year, restricted recognition totals since a specified year

    • NOTE: A fiscal year begins in July and ends in June of the next year. For example, the 2025 fiscal year begins July 1st, 2024 and ends June 30th, 2025. 

    • NOTE: Starting Fiscal Year does NOT affect Look to Michigan Totals.

    • E.g., 2021

Campaign Information (Optional)

  • Select Unit Campaign Name (Optional)

    • Allows users to select a Unit Campaign Name

    • E.g., Bentley Historical Library - Look to Michigan
       

Communication Information (Optional)

  • Select SCU Specific Communication Preference Codes (Optional)

    • Allows users to select one or more Communication Preferences that is specific to their SCU to include in the report. 

    • E.g., No Contact - Alumni Association

Interaction Information (Required)

  • Select Interaction Status (Required)

    • Allows users to select one or more Interaction Statuses for inclusion

    • E.g., Completed, Pending, Declined
       

  • Enter Starting Interaction Date (Required)

    • Allows users to enter a minimum date for all interactions included in the report

    • NOTE: Business Objects does not prevent you from entering an invalid date (ex. 1/1/0221), so double check the dates you enter. Alternatively, you may use the calendar icon to the right of the input field to select a date rather than typing one in manually

    • E.g., 1/1/2021 or 01/01/2021

Report Tabs

There are 9 report tabs:

  • Summary Counts    

    • Displays a count of constituents associated with each selected prospect tag
       

  • Excel Output    

    • Designed to facilitate export to Excel. Information is arranged so that a constituent's information is contained on a single row. Contains Giving and Rating information, communication preferences, contact information, any open asks, CRMs, PM, and interactions by selected MGO — but does not contain children/step children, or top areas of interest.
       

  • PDF-Constituent of Interest

    • For prospects tagged as “Constituent of Interest” 

    • NOTE: This report tab is formatted to facilitate export to PDF

    • For use by UM Development Personnel Only.  Contains confidential information such as:  Lifetime Recognition, Victors for Michigan Totals, Top 3 Giving Areas (with Totals), Presidential Society Memberships, and Capacity Ratings.
       

  • Top Major Giving Prospect

    • For prospects tagged as “Top Major Giving Prospect”
