Where is my home directory stored when using Linux CLSE computers?

Home directories for students using computers running the Linux CLSE are stored in their CAEN Home Directory. This is the same location where the Desktop and Documents folders are stored when using computers running the Windows CLSE (i.e. the N: drive), but the actual folder location is different.

On Linux CLSE computers, students can access their default home directory location directly at the following file paths (where uniqname is your U-M uniqname):

/home/uniqname
/studenthome/uniqname/dotfiles

For accessing the files stored in their Windows CLSE home directory, students can go to the following path:

/studenthome/uniqname/windat.V2

For information on how to access a CAEN home directory remotely, refer to our article: How do I access my student CAEN Home Directory?
