Most College of Engineering-supported classrooms are equipped with dedicated cameras that capture anything written on the whiteboard during a Lecture Recording. Instructors can disable/re-enable this setting themselves by following the applicable steps below.
To apply whiteboard settings to future recordings, follow these steps:
- Log into CAEN's Lecture Recording Management website (https://leccap.engin.umich.edu/leccap/manage/).
- Click the Manage recordings link for the course you would like to change the whiteboard settings on.
- Click the Site Info navigation tab.
- Check (or uncheck) the Enable Whiteboard checkbox.
- Scroll down and click Save.
To apply whiteboard settings to an existing recording, follow these steps:
- Log into CAEN's Lecture Recording Management website (https://leccap.engin.umich.edu/leccap/manage/).
- Click the Manage recordings link for the course that contains the recording.
- Find the recording you want to modify and click Edit.
- In the Options module, change Enable Whiteboard to Yes or No if you want to enable or disable it.
- Scroll down and click Save.
