Located on North Campus, the Duderstadt Center's hi-tech Groundworks facility is fully equipped for legacy media conversion. This includes 35mm slide digitization, film negative scanning, DVD, CD and audio tape. While the facility is mainly set up on the self-service model, Groundworks staff are available for consultation.

Anyone needing a way to work with digital disc media (CD, DVD and Blu-ray) on a computer may look into obtaining an external optical disc drive. Because of low demand, LSA Technology Service has few if any of these devices in the loanable equipment inventory. Optical disc drives are affordably available from online vendors.
