Couldn't start Dropbox

Summary

After upgrading to Monterey. you may receive and error code saying "Couldn't start Dropbox. This is usually because of a permissions error. Storing your home folder on a network share can also cause an error. For more information, click the help button below."

Directions

  1. Go to Activity Monitor and Force Exit all Dropbox Instances
  2. Go to Settings - Security & Privacy
    • Accessibility - Unlock and select Dropbox app
    • Full Disk Access - Unlock and select Dropbox app
