ImageJ compatible video files

Summary

Converting video files to work with ImageJ Version 1.41 and newer. Enable video files saved from various sources to be analyzed with ImageJ.

Environment

ImageJ 1.41 and newer includes .avi file plugins that work with uncompressed m-jpeg video.

Directions

1. Open the file.
2. Change Video Output to Mjpeg encoder.
3. Change Output Format to AVI Muxer.
4. Save the output file.

Additional notes

• AVIDemux
• AVI_Reader.java
• AVI_Writer.java
• Tests with VLC to produce M-JPEG files were unsuccessful.
• Alternative (untested): VirtualDub
• Micro Manager video file formats.
• Fiji is just ImageJ.
